Westcreek’s July Yard of the Month
The July Yard of the Month was awarded to Alison & Greg Miller at 6115 Smith Oak. The couple bought the house in June of 2021, moving to Austin from Alabama where they grew up. After seeing how hot our summers have become, they set out this spring to reduce the amount of grass present in the front yard. Alison enlisted the help of the kind people at Leaf Landscape to help her to select the sun loving plants for their xeriscape. She planted a variety of yuccas, agaves, spineless prickly pear, Lavender, Sweet Potato vine, irises, and sage. Awaiting cooler fall temperatures, they look forward to buying outdoor furniture for the front yard patio area. They also are eagerly awaiting the birth of their baby boy, “Leo” in early December! Congratulations!
The couple received gift certificates from Leaf Landscape ($50), Klingemann’s Automotive (oil change) and Cypress Grill ($45). WNA appreciates the support of these local businesses!
